AI Policy
This policy applies to TOG Asia Pacific and to the services we provide across the Asia Pacific region.
At Thai Optical Group (TOG), we use a small number of AI tools to help our team with day-to-day work. They support our people. They do not replace them. This policy explains where we use AI and the limits we set.
1. Where we use AI
A few of our staff use AI tools occasionally. The main uses are:- Internal emails and messages
- Meeting notes and summaries
- Translation
- Research
- Internal reporting and data analysis
- Scheduling
- Drafting documents such as proposals and policies
2. Where we do not use AI
- We do not use chatbots or automated replies. When you contact us, you are dealing with a person, and you can always reach one.
- We do not use AI to make decisions about people, such as pricing, hiring or how we resolve a complaint.
- We do not use AI for clinical or prescription judgements. Lens specifications and RX services are set by our qualified staff and our own quality processes.
3. Human oversight
Anything an AI tool helps to produce is checked and approved by a member of our team before it is used or sent. We remain responsible for everything we send you.4. Data privacy and confidentiality
We do not put customer or personal information into AI tools.- Staff are not allowed to put personal data, financial details or intellectual property, ours or yours, into public or unapproved AI tools.
- The tools we allow are paid business accounts. What we type into them is not used to train the provider’s models. Staff may not use personal AI accounts for work.
- Our use of AI follows our data protection obligations, including the GDPR in Europe and the PDPA in Thailand.
